Today was a hard day for me. Today was the first day that I’ve been back to see my grandma after she had passed. Going to see her grave site was harder than I thought. You never know how things like that are going to affect you until your there. But now that I’ve been back I want to add more to her resting place. I’m thinking about purchasing some flower pots to provide a more permanent memorial for her. Lately the flowers and arrangements that have been affixed to her headstone have never really survived the winds that accompany Michigan springs.

Today was also interesting because I got to learn more about my grandfathers life. He went into more detail about his involvement in the Koren war. From the little I’ve known about his involvement in the war, it was interesting to find out that he was part of the Signaling Corp. This department of the government relays encoded messages back and forth between the Pentagon and the command posts on the battlefield. A highly important function of the army and also a very secretive position.
