What is the goal of my blog? Mostly to just entertain myself, but hopefully the people who read this as well. I’ve been thinking about writing more about non-specific topics, because I dont think there really is a blog out there that does it well. Like I kind of want to be the Jerry Seinfeld of blogs. “The Blog about Nothing” hence the domain name.. Does It Matter. If you really get down to it, does it really matter? Probably not, but what could that be? I’m just talking B.S. now cause this isnt making sense to me as i’m writing this. But expect more of this kind of writing daily, as that is atleast a concrete goal of mine…that is to post daily. As hard as that may seem sometimes. But if i’m paying for this site, it might as well try to earn its space somehow.

Yesterday, i spent sometime customizing my blog, adding new features on the backend and some new ones on the front. Most noticeable on the front end i’ve added a cool new feature that displays what I am currently listening to on iTunes. The program called iTunesBlogger allows you to stream your current track details to your blog and provide uses a link to buy the track using the iTunes store. Its pretty cool I think. The cover art is displayed from Amazon.com, so if you see just text that means Amazon doesnt sell that cd or no cover art is available for it.

Its the one thing that is probably the hardest thing for me to do. Why?? Well maybe because its hard to find that one gift that will make someone happy and that it has thought behind it as well. Although this may be a usesless goal, cause I feel that were in a new age. Sort of like the technology age but more geared towards shopping. This is the Gift Card age. Where the idea of buying a gift for someone that has meaning has been replaced by the simple and thoughtless solution of gift cards.
Yes they are easy, yes they are nice, but what does that tell the person about the gift you got them? That you were last minute shopping and that it was important to you? Well maybe, or could it be that you just couldnt find them something that you would think that they would like? I’d go with the latter one. Most of us men know that its hard to shop, and when we do, we know exactly what we need to get and get out. But the holiday season throws us for a loop. Mostly because were trying to please someone without pissing them off for either being too cheap or thoughtless. So this year i’m defintely going to try and not get any gift cards, that is unless you give me nothing to work with.

I would think that this is a common occurance elsewhere, but from my experience in these 24 years of life, that Michigan drivers are the worst. Especially during times of seasonal change. Any little bit of moisture that hits the ground is cause for mass panic and confusion. Most are due to the fact that almost all drivers here think they can drive in any weather condition at any speed without any error. From my current location looking over the highway I can count 3 accidents which were most likely caused by stupidity which runs rampant in these here parts (yes i said in these here parts).

Lets you post questions and have people answer back. You can also answer other peoples questions and you will receive points for the amount of questions you answer. It seems in the future that Publishing Network members (like myself) will be able to get paid for answering questions. All good news

My new favorite drink…although the $2.00 price tag here at work seems a bit much.

One of the worst thing about Michigan, and everyone knows this is the weather. We’ve all heard the saying “Wait five minutes, and the weather will change”, well technically here in the ol’ mitten state that is true. Within one weeks time the temperature has gone up and down 30 degrees, rained, snowed and been windy as well. With all these inconsistent temperature anomalies occurring, you would think that people in Michigan would be very angry people. When in fact most people seem to be kind of pleasant, that is until we get our big snow fall. Then it is all on…road rage, brawls at the local mall or CVS (yes, I saw one today). The first hint of snow or rain drivers seem to be back in drivers ed and nervous as hell as if they’re driving a fragile egg. People just need to accept that this is Michigan and things will never change, unless global warming or some other natural disaster turns us into the next equatorial country.
