Figured that since we’re getting close to the new year that it’s about that time again where we list what we want to change, fix and make better in the coming year. So I thought i’d list my top ten resolutions.
- Lose weight
- Take more photos
- Get in touch with friends more often
- Meet atleast 5 new people (and become friends)
- Write more
- Start drawing again
- Donate my time atleast once
- Travel more
- Cook more
- Make more money
Some of those on the list are ones that I think everyone makes every year, but for one thing I’m actually going to try and make all of this happen.

What is going to be big in ‘06 on the web??? Well my predictions say that it will be RSS. Although it has been around for awhile, most people dont even know that they use it. Yahoo! has been using RSS for awhile now with the “Add to My Yahoo!” list feature. But RSS and its other XML technologies, I feel will be the biggest gainers of 2006.
The biggest loser on the otherhand, that will probably be… AJAX. We’ve seen its boom now i’m just waiting for its bust.

Yes, Theres 6 days left of shopping available for Christmas or should I say the holiday season? I think thats going a little overboard dont you think? That we now have to say “Happy Holidays” and you cant really say “Merry Christmas”. The funny part is that the word Christmas lost its true mean about 40 some years ago when Coca-Cola decided to take the Saint Nick and transform him into a fat, old jolly man wearing a red suit that delivers gifts. I think thats when Christmas official was taken over for commercial reasons. And anyways what is so negative about saying Merry Christmas to someone who may not celebrate it? It just means to wish someone good. The whole PC (politically correct) movement is getting a little annoying. Everyone has to be so careful about what they say so that they dont offend anyone. I think people are pretty smart and can deal with it, with out having to feel offended.
Ohh and on a side note I watched an excerpt from the Morgan Freeman interview about how he’s upset about how theres a month for black history. I agree with him, there shouldnt be…it just helps spread prejudice.

I just added a new Wordpress Plug-in called Blog of the Day, which posts my newest post to the Blog of the Day site and then can gain popularity by people reading my posts. We’ll see if this helps this little blog get more noticed in the vast sea of web bloggers out there. Wouldnt it be cool just to write about things and get paid for it and to make a living out of that? Eventually I hope that’ll come.

Ok, so I decided to go and do some shopping today, since Christmas is a week away. While roaming around the mall with my roommate I came to realize that I have no idea what to get anyone. I’m stuck in the position of I want to get them something but have no idea what. I keep thinking that it has to have some kind of meaning and be useful as well. So I’m kinda contridicting myself from the part I of this post and have decided that the best bet may be gift cards. I’ll keep looking, but so far that seems to be the direction that things are going in. Tis the Season of Gift Cards!

Since this is the time of heavy snowfalls and ice accumulations, i feel like ranting a little bit about how much snow scrapers suck. They’re terrible, they’re cheaply made and they are also needed. My own scaper that i’ve had for years has just decided that it is time for it to destruct, and at the worst possible time too. A week back we got some pretty good snow showers which then was followed by some freezing temperatures, which caused the snow on my car to freeze and become an inch thick layer of ice, hidden by the snow. So the following morning while getting ready to leave I get out my scaper and start to chip off the ice from my windshield and on the first stroke my scraper decides to bust into about 10 small pieces, leaving me with about 1 inch of scraping plastic left. You could probably imagine the words that came out of my mouth, everything from getting pissed off at the scraper to the snow hiding the ice to the ice itself. If they made scrapers that were much more durable and less prone to breakage I wouldnt be having this little rant, but since I am, I might as well offer some suggestions to the makers of these scrapers.
- Use some sort of stronger plastic material
- Test them out in actual conditons
- Dont just make the handles straight so when we forget to wear our gloves that we dont get ice burn from the snow or ice while were scraping
- umm…Make some sort of heated scraper to melt the ice while your scraping (and yes i know to turn my car on to heat the windows)
